Nothing lasts forever,
but we can watch as the traces of our existence depart into the void of time.

What do we leave behind when we die? How do we come to terms with our own mortality?
“Monuments of Being” is a virtual reality journey that leads us to the departure of our physical bodies at the end of life. Combining multiple motion-tracking systems, “Monuments” pushes the boundaries of traditional VR experiences to create unique encounters that accumulate over time. Through a singular embodied approach to the afterlife, “Monuments of Being” brings an acute awareness to our physical impermanence.
